Shavuot Community Potluck

Shavuot, a Jewish holiday that commemorates the giving of the Torah to the Israelites of Mount Sinai. In ancient times, it was a harvest festival that marked the end of the barley harvest and the beginning of the wheat harvest in Israel. A tradition associated with Shavuot is the popularity for dairy foods, one of the many symbolic connections for dairy is due to the land flowing with milk and honey. The community hosted a Shavuot potluck to bring everyone together to embrace the sweetness of good company and celebrate the traditions that bond all Jewish people.
