Claims Conference - Services for Holocaust Survivors
The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Inc. coordinates restitutions for Holocaust survivors.
The Claims Conference's compassionate and caring Case Managers have chosen to work with Holocaust Survivors, in part because of their personal experiences with Survivor family members. They are passionate about enhancing the lives of their clients, well versed in their complex psychological and physical needs, and are dedicated to working with their clients for the long term, providing trust and continuity. Case Managers provide services in multiple languages.
The Claims Conference provides a wide range of specialized services and programs to meet Holocaust Survivors’ needs and enhance their quality of life. Services include:
- Case Management
- Emergency Financial Assistance*
- Homecare / Cleaning*
- Restitution and/or Compensation application assistance
- Stamping of Life certificates and PANEEM digital certification
*Based on eligibility criteria, Homecare is not restricted to low income Survivors, but financial assistance is.
A non profit organization, Claims Conference secures material compensation from the Government of Germany for Holocaust survivors around the world, as indemnification for suffering and losses resulting from persecution by the Nazis.
A Holocaust survivor is considered a person who suffered persecution for being Jewish, lived in a Ghetto, lived in hiding, survived a concentration camp and/or who had to flee or evacuate from the place of persecution
