The Atlantic Jewish community thrives and continues to grow because of all the involvement and work from our volunteers. Israel Advocacy Committee

Over the year the Atlantic Jewish Council runs many events in Atlantic Canada to garner advocacy and solidarity with Israel. The need for volunteers at these events are to help set up, run, and take down events.

The PJ LIBRARY program (PJ, as in pajamas) is a program that provides families raising Jewish children (ages six months to 8 years) in Atlantic Canada with a FREE treasury of Jewish books and music! Every month, families enrolled in PJ LIBRARY receive a high-quality, expert-curated and kid-tested, Jewish book or CD (one per family) as a gift from the community.…

Holocaust Education

We hold events in commemoration of the Holocaust. The main event in which volunteers are generally needed is the reading of the names. As well as other events such as the recent “Who will write our history” screening to help greet guests and aid in the running of the event.
