Halifax’s Community Hanukkah Party

 

What better way to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah than by joining us at the Halifax Community Hanukkah Party from 5PM-7:30PM at the Beth Israel Synagogue (1480 Oxford Street). This event is specifically designed to be friendly for all ages (0-100+) 

Along with a huge dairy buffet dinner (including delicious latkes and sufganiot), join us all evening for bingo (with prizes), a bouncy castle, arcade basketball, hair-braiding, dreidels, gelt, colouring, and a fill-your-own-sufgania-with-the-filling-of-your-choice station! Also, don’t miss these two special events: 

1) A performance by Halifax Circus Entertainers from 5:30pm-6:15pm
2) An interactive performance by musician Jason Brown from 6:45pm-7:30pm. 

A few reminders: 

A) This party is BYOH (Bring Your Own Hanukkiah). We encourage everyone to bring their own hanukkiahs and candles, and we will all light together as a community around 5:15pm. 

B) The Beth Israel gift shop will be OPEN during the party. Please bring cash if you wish to make any purchases. 

C) If possible, please use the entrance off of Coburg Road nearest to the kitchen to enter the building.
