Hillel Atlantic Canada provides Jewish life on campus for post secondary students, faculty, and recent graduates in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. We do this through Shabbat and holiday dinners, game nights, lunch n learns, and providing young people with the materials they need to live their Jewish life whether they are local students or come from away. Of course, there is a cost to every opportunity we provide to students. We are asking that if you or someone you care about engages with Hillel Atlantic in some way to please consider giving to our first ever fundraiser!

My name is Eden Manly and I am the director of philanthropy at Hillel. Through the numerous board game nights and Shabbat dinners, Hillel has provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in a Jewish community away from home, and to strengthen my connections with Jews from around the world

Hey Everyone, I’m Aaron Greenspan, I’m a second-year Bachelor of Management student at Dalhousie University, from Toronto. I am a brother of AEPi and Director of Communications at Hillel Atlantic Canada.

In my short time in Halifax, Hillel Atlantic, and the Jewish community has bestowed an amazing support system, when I’m away from home. From providing a safe space to learn, grow, be my authentic self, and stay in touch with my spirituality, to providing a network of incredible individuals who have become allies, mentors, and my closest friends. Hillel Atlantic is a tremendous place to bond with fellow classmates, and create unique connections you won’t find anywhere else on campus or in Halifax! Plus they always have amazing events and incredible dinners! Any support helps impact the lives of Jewish students! Thanks to all those contributing.

Hi! My name is Karin and I am currently at Dal studying chemistry. When I moved to Halifax from Israel 4 years ago I wanted to be part of a Jewish group where I could be myself and feel comfortable in this new country. Joining Hillel allowed me to become close to more Jewish students, have Shabbat dinners, and get involved in other Jewish-related activities. At Hillel, I made new friends in Canada that made this new country feel very welcoming.

My name is Bayla Dolman and I am the events coordinator at Hillel Atlantic. I came to Halifax not knowing many people to start school at Dalhousie. Hillel provided me with a community where I could foster friendships and stay engaged in jewish culture.
