Masa’s Yom Hazikharon Facebook Live Broadcast, May 7th, 1:00 – 2:30 PM

Yom Hazikharon is one of those times when we are challenged with curating opportunities on this side of the ocean, to share the intensity of emotions alongside Israel.

One of the most meaningful, powerful and professional ceremonies taking place in Israel every year on Yom Hazikharon is that of the Jewish Agency’s Masa Israel Journey.

The ceremony is held in both Hebrew and English and pays tribute to diaspora Jews, from all around the globe, who have made it their mission to support the Zionist cause through meaningful service in the IDF.

Through the efforts of the Jewish Federations of Canada – UIA and the Jewish Agency, we are pleased to offer your communities the opportunity to join other Jewish communities world-wide and participate remotely in the ceremony.

The ceremony, of an hour and a half long, will be held on Tuesday, May 7th 2019, 1:00 – 2:30 EST (8:00 – 9:30 pm Israel Time) and will be broadcast live through Facebook live stream.  Last year 20,000 people around the world have joined in on the live broadcast.

This is a great opportunity for schools, shuls and community centres to come together and watch this impactful ceremony.

In addition to being acknowledged for joining the ceremony live, after registering to the live broadcast, leaders will receive an enriching Educational Toolkit in order to help in leading meaningful sessions with the various cohorts before and after the ceremony.
