Strategic Goals of Jewish Immigration

The Atlantic Jewish Council wishes to ensure that potential Jewish immigrants are familiar with the high quality of family life in Atlantic Canada and in particular with the Jewish support services. One of the tools the Council is using to make potential Jewish immigrants aware of Atlantic Canada is its website. In addition, the Council will see other means of making potential immigrants aware of the benefits of life in Atlantic Canada.

The Halifax Immigration Committee has been exploring opportunities to work with other community agencies to develop other means of attracting immigrants to our region. In addition, the committee is working with community organizations to ensure there is adequate information on employment and community supports for immigrants.

Most Canadian provinces have Provincial Nomination programs that encourage immigrants to settle in those provinces and benefit their economies. Learn about settling in the Atlantic Provinces as a provincial nominee.
