Summer Programs for Children/Teens in Saint John, NB – July 31st-Aug 29th, @the SJJHM
The Saint John Jewish Historical Museum will be offering summer programs for children and teens from July 31 to August 29 on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. The programs will be organized and led by the summer staff of the Museum and provide a unique opportunity to learn about Jewish culture and history. We will explain the holiday, read a story, make a craft or play a game.
There is no charge to attend and all materials will be supplied, including snacks and juice for participants.
Summer Children’s Program (ages 5-11)
Join us on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:00 at the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum to learn about the Jewish Holidays!
Wednesday, July 31 – Purim – mask making
Wednesday, August 7 – Purim – baking hamantash
Wednesday, August 14 – Tu Bishvat – dried fruit kebabs
Wednesday, August 21 – Passover – origami
Summer Teen’s Program (ages 12-18)
Join us on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum to learn about Jewish Holidays
Thursday, August 1 – Chanukah – dreidl and candlemaking
Thursday, August 15 – Sukkot – fun decorations
Thursday, August 22 – Purim – tye-dye shirts/socks
Thursday, August 29 – Bar/Bat Mitzvah – family stories
