The Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) Releases Its 7th Annual Jewish World Dialogue Report: “Antisemitism and Its Impact on Jewish Identity”
Members of the Atlantic Canadian Jewish Community Participated in this Important Dialogue

In the summer of 2020, the AJC was invited to participate in the JPPI’s 7th Global Dialogue on the subject of “Anti-Semitism and its impact on Jewish Identity.” Created in 2001 by the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI, our main partner organization on the ground in Israel), the Jewish People Policy Institute is a Jerusalem based think tank, which studies the challenges facing the Jewish People. Chaired by Dennis Ross and Stuart Eizenstadt, the Institute undertakes important studies, an Annual Assessment of the Jewish People, and Global Dialogues. The Institute boasts a dozen first rate Senior Fellows whose views reflect the religious and diversity of the Jewish people (secular to Haredi; right to left). You can learn more about JPPI at JPPI.org.il. This invitation was a huge honour and privilege for our community both to be recognized and have our perspective heard on a global stage. Only a dozen of North American Jewish communities are invited to participate in dialogues each year; the findings and recommendations from the dialogue are published each year and presented to the Israeli cabinet and communal decision makers throughout the world.
On July 15th, 2020, twenty members of our community participated in this fruitful conversation with Shlomo Fischer and John Ruskay, the project leads. The group represented the full diversity of our community: multiple cities and provinces, younger and older, students and professionals, and Canadian-born, FSU-born, and Israeli-born.
The final report was recently published and can be accessed online.
Thank you so much to those who participated and to the project leads for including our community in this important discussion.
